English Teaching Program

Do you teach English as a Foreign Language in Ecuador?

The Fulbright Commission English Teaching Program is an affiliated English Teaching Program: as such, the American Embassy has identified the ETP as a recipient of Department of State resources and support. With the assistance of the Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States in Ecuador, the ETP actively engages in activities supporting the teaching of English in Ecuador.

TEFL ECUADOR 2005

The TELF ECUADOR 2005 will be held June 22 to 25 by the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja.  The conference will feature a keynote speaker and conferences given by experienced English teachers.

Last year's conference was a complete success, with over 250 participants from all over the country.

Please contact jptorres@utpl.edu.ec for further information.

THE ENGLISH TEACHING FORUM

The English Teaching Forum is a quarterly journal for teachers of English as a foreign or second language. The Forum has been published since 1963. Currently 60,000 copies of the magazine are distributed in over 100 countries. It features articles by well-known scholars, readers worldwide, and the editorial staff. Articles focus on the theory and practice of teaching English and include discussions of methods, techniques and ideas useful in the classroom. Thematic content varies, often focusing on an aspect of American culture or a particular language skill or teaching approach.

Published four times a year (in January, April, July, and October) for the teacher of English outside the United States, the Forum is distributed abroad by American embassies. Questions about subscriptions should be addressed to the Public Affairs or Cultural section of the American Embassy in Quito.
